Finally Got My Snow Boots On

Sorry about the shitty picture I was cold and didn't feel like getting my camera.

I went bold and decided to get them powdercoated white, they are called snowflake wheels after all. Not sure if I like it, they are going to get dirty instantly and I'm not really a fan of the light/dark contrast.Tires are Michelin XI3s. With these, she is a tank in the snow.

What do you guys think?

As a fellow Saaber, I approve. I like the looks. Ive done bolder wheel colors on my old steelies for my old Saab. Burnt copper steelies on a black Saab, looked cool.

I test drove one of those wagons about 10 years ago ... I've always thought Saab built a great wagon. What a shame they're gone. And yours looks very good.

Thanks, I really them too, its my second actually. For the price on the used market, you cant beat them. Would love to have something besides FWD though.

i like the white wheels. You have a black car so you already deal with endless and easily visible dirt so what difference are the wheels?

Close, it's a 2008 Aero XWD SportCombi, manual. So it has the same drivetrain as the TX, without the eLSD (optional on XWD in 2008, standard 2009+. Oh well!). They did make the TX in a wagon, but I think they only made about a hundred for the US.

I used plastidip on the silver exterior trim to darken the look up, not a fan of silver or chrome.

The chrome is what made me think that. I was getting very excited. But you still truly have a unicorn. If I had enough money that's what I'd go for.

I couldn't believe it when it came up for sale on CL. Had to have it. But actually, lately I've been considering selling it and driving something super cheap, in order to save up for the Focus RS. You happen to live near Wisconsin..?
